Manage Complexity when Scaling Payroll
A session with Sabrina Castiglione , Dave Sellick , Beth Staff and David Tuck
About this Session
Have you been wondering how you can scale payroll processes with Xero as you grow, instead of having to migrate to an ERP system? We've got the webinar for you.
Part of our series, Building an Enterprise-Level System with Xero. You might think you're outgrowing Xero. But this series proves that if you know what’s available, Xero and its app ecosystem can prevent the need to install a complex and expensive ERP system.
Join us and our payroll partner, Pento, on Tuesday, 19 Sep 2023 10:00 - 10:30 BST for top tips on how to level up your payroll game and successfully scale your business with Xero.
What to expect:
- Exploring the pains payroll manifests for larger Xero users.
- Real-world experiences from a finance leader who has grappled with these issues themselves.
- Solutions from a Xero app ecosystem expert, Dave Sellick from CONCEPT80.
- Plus actionable insights from Pento’s Chief Operating Officer, Sabrina Castiglione.
We'll be diving into the intricacies of scaling payroll and how you can simplify this journey with real-time adjustments, automated calculations, and integrations that ensure you're always on top of your payroll game, even as complexities rise.
Q&A from the live webinar
Q1: Do you have overseas staff, and if so how do you handle that?
A1: Beth Staff: We do yes - we use EoRs as well as localised payrolls in the US and a European hub. We have a number of solutions in place in each region but UK is certainly the smoothest (and biggest) payroll.
Q2: If you do end up leaving Xero, are payroll softwares like Pento things you can still carry with you to the new one? I wouldn’t want to invest in setting up something new, that would end when the usability of Xero ends.
A2: Sabrina Castiglione: Most softwares that are like Pento (including Pento!) also integrate with Netsuite as well as Xero, as well as multiple HRISs and Pension Providers.
Q3: Could an EoR replace a contractor model for software developers across Europe?
A3: Sabrina Castiglione: Sometimes! It’s more expensive than contracting but allows you to offer more employment-esque benefits such as pensions and social security.
Q4: I am concerned that Xero users might be able to see this bank account and see what staff are being paid. Is this a problem?
A4: Sabrina Castiglione: Some of our customers prefer just to sync the balance rather than individual transactions as an alternative (just two transactions a month - one for payroll, one for HMRC).
